Old town Linkoping (Gamla Linköping)

Gamla Linköping Open-Air Museum was created to preserve older buildings, and in so doing the story of times past. Currently there are a hundred buildings in the neighbourhood and at Valla Farm. The majority have been moved there from the city of Linköping.

Garden Society (Trädgårdsföreningen)

A lovely oasis situated in the centre of the town. Here you can stroll in beautiful surroundings, go on a guided tour, have a picnic, buy plants, play, eat or stop for a coffee and much more. In the Horticultural Society Gardens there is also a playpark, boules court, beach volleyball, ice rink and a stage. Don’t pass up the opportunity to take a bite to eat at one of the Garden’s restaurants or cafés.

Linkopings Cathedral

For almost 800 years people have been coming to worship and pray at Linköping Cathedral. Work on the Cathedral was started in 1230, with the main building works being completed in 1520. The belfry and the west façade were added in 1885. Linköping Cathedral is the most impressive and expensive Swedish church building of the Middle Ages. The Swedish Air Force Museum (flygvapenmuseum)

Is a modern technical and cultural history museum with exhibitions that trace the development of military aviation from the pioneers of the early 20th century to the present. It offers a unique collection of aircrafts, many of which can only be seen at the Swedish Air Force Museum.

Linköping Castle and Cathedral Museum

An exciting Medieval Museum in central Linköping. See the hidden Bishop tower from the 1200s and Linköping Cathedral’s unique treasures. The museum describes the castle and Linköping Cathedral development from the 1100s up until the Renaissance.

Linköping Castle and Cathedral Museum is housed in Linköping Castle, which originally was built as a bishop farm, whose oldest parts are from the late 1100’s. Here you can step into Bishop Bengt tower that was built in 1286 and still today remains completely intact in the castle walls.
